Tartan Nails

La stampa Tartan è la vera protagonista di quest'inverno e devo dire che non ne sono stata immune neanche io: credo che, se usata sapientemente ed in piccole dosi, possa dare un tocco di personalità all'intero look. Oggi ho pensato di proporvela sulle unghie, creando per voi questo semplice e veloce tutorial.

The tartan pattern is the real star of this winter and I must say that I wasn't immune to it: I believe that it, if used wisely and in small doses, can give a personal touch to the whole look. Today I thought to propose it on the nails, creating for you this quick and easy tutorial.

OCCORRENTE / MATERIALS :

• Smalto colorato per la base (io ho scelto il rosso) / Coloured nail polish for the base ( I used the red)
• 3-4 colori diversi per le decorazioni (io ho scelto nero, bianco, argento e giallo) / 3-4 different colours for the decorations (I used black, white, silver and yellow)
• scotch / scotch tape
• righello / ruler
• taglierino / cutter
• lima / rasp
• piano d'appoggio da poter sporcare e tagliuzzare (io ho preso una vecchia rivista) / table top can get dirty and cut (I took an old magazine)

PROCEDIMENTO / PROCEDURE :

Stendere la base colorata / Pass the coloured base

Tagliare lo scotch, colorarlo con lo smalto scelto e lasciarlo asciugare.

Cut the scotch tape, colour it with nail polish chosen and wait the drying.

 Una volta asciugato, tagliare delle sottili strisce con l'aiuto del righello. Lo smalto si staccherà dallo scotch molto facilmente.

When it's dry, cut slim stripes with the ruler. The nail polish will come off very easily by scotch tape.

Posizionare le strisce di smalto per creare il pattern scozzese.

Place the stripes of nail polish to create tartan pattern.

 Tagliare l'eccesso con la limetta.

Cut the excess with the rasp.

Passare delicatamente il top coat e le nostre Tartan Nails sono pronte!
