Era il lontano 1993 quando l'estro artistico dello stilista francese Christian Louboutin fu ispirato dalla sua assistente che metteva lo smalto sulle unghie decidendo di colorare in questo modo le suole delle scarpe, ormai famose in tutto il mondo.

E oggi, circa vent'anni dopo, il cerchio si chiude: "Le suole rosse sono nate dallo smalto rosso. Sto ridando alle unghie quello che le scarpe hanno rubato al loro mondo molti anni fa." Con queste parole lo stilista presenta al mondo la linea "Christian Louboutin Beautè" inaugurata, appunto, dagli smalti.

It was the 1993, when the artistic talent of the French designer Christian Louboutin was inspired by his assistant that put on the nail polish and so he decided to color in this way the soles of shoes, now famous all over the world.
